Valley Glen is a highly diverse community in the southeastern portion of the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles, California. Almost half its residents were born outside the United States. Originally part of Van Nuys and North Hollywood, Valley Glen was officially recognized by the City of L.A. in 2004. Living in Valley Glen offers residents an urban suburban mix feel, and most residents rent their homes. In Valley Glen there are a lot of restaurants, coffee shops, and parks. Notable restaurants are Barone’s, Home of the original thin crust rectangular Neopolitan style Pizza, Krimsey’s Modern Cajun, and Pacific Kosher Grill. Many students in habit the community due to the Los Angeles Valley College. A bus for rapid transit, known as the Orange line, meanders up and down Burbank Boulevard, carrying students and families to and from other parts of the neighborhood.
